Your Service in Scotland - Interfaith Ceremonies

I am an Interfaith Celebrant based near Edinburgh in Scotland, and I am trained to create and conduct tailor made ceremonies to celebrate the special occasions in your life. I offer services for people of all faiths or none. You choose how much or how little spiritual or religious content you would like, and together we will create a beautiful, personalised and heartfelt ceremony.

Ceremonies can take place at any venue of your choice and I am happy to travel throughout Scotland, UK and wider afield.

I’ve worked as a Celebrant for 12 years and love every moment of it. I hope you find the information on my website helpful. Have a look at the services I offer and get in touch to discuss how I can help.

Detailed Information

Some people spend months and months planning all aspects of their wedding yet give little thought to the marriage ceremony and the vows that they make to each other. Happily, most people consider the ceremony to be the most important part of the day and want to have a wedding ceremony that reflects their beliefs and respects their traditions.

As an interfaith celebrant I can help you to plan a ceremony that includes ALL that is important to you. I can conduct a ceremony wherever and whenever you wish, incorporating your choice of poetry, music and readings. I specialise in working with you to create a bespoke ceremony. I work with you to understand what is important to you in making your marriage vows, and to incorporate this into your wedding ceremony. I can offer complete flexibility in the choice of ceremony and I can use any words or rituals that you want to include in your wedding, including those that would be defined as religious or spiritual. You may have no religious belief and may not want to be married in a chuch, but an interfaith celebrant has the freedom and flexibility to incorporate any spiritual elements such as a religious piece of music, a spiritual poem or a sacred gesture. In your wedding, I am able to include any mixture of non-religious, spiritual or religious elements, and create and conduct a marriage ceremony that is perfect for you.

I am able to perform commitment ceremonies and vow renewals throughout the UK and elsewhere, and I can also perform legal wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships in Scotland.

I am trained and ordained by The Interfaith Foundation as a non-denominational minister offering services to people from all faiths and none. I am not associated with a church organisation and don’t represent any particular religion, although as part of my training I have studied all the major traditions and faiths. Through my affiliation with The Interfaith Seminary I am able to hold the legal part of a spiritual, religious, or non-religious ceremony for weddings taking place in Scotland.
