Some wedding days are filled with those little moments that stay with you long after the celebrations are over the laughter, the happy tears, the music, the family moments and, most importantly, the love. Alan & Gillian’s beautiful Edinburgh wedding was full of all of these things and more.
Set in the stunning surroundings of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, their wedding was a wonderful celebration of family, love and togetherness, with every part of the day feeling personal and completely true to them.
The celebrations began with relaxed drinks and natural photographs in the Cullan Suite, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the atmosphere before the ceremony. There was a lovely sense of excitement as guests gathered for what was to be such a special day.
Their ceremony took place in the beautiful New Library, providing an incredible backdrop as Alan & Gillian said their vows. The setting was elegant and timeless, but it was the genuine emotions and personal touches throughout the ceremony that made it so special.
Music played an important part in the celebrations, with a guitarist and cellist providing beautiful live music throughout the day. One particularly memorable moment came when the groom’s daughter performed, creating a truly personal and emotional highlight for the whole family.
After the ceremony, the couple headed into Queen Street Gardens for some relaxed portraits. Surrounded by beautiful Edinburgh scenery, these photographs captured the two of them naturally and allowed them to enjoy a little quiet time together during the celebrations.
The celebrations continued into the magnificent Great Hall, where emotional and entertaining speeches had everyone laughing, smiling and reaching for the tissues. It was clear throughout the day just how much love and affection surrounded Alan & Gillian, making this a truly special family celebration.
What made this wedding so wonderful was the way everything came together so naturally. From the beautiful Edinburgh setting and stunning venue spaces to the music, family performances and unforgettable moments, the day was full of personality and genuine emotion.
