Their story….
After getting engagedĀ 2020, Adele and Struan were keen to plan a wedding that made the most of the amazing suppliers local to beautiful Dumfries and Gallowayā¦

Weddings are great but someone’s got to plan them! Did you enjoy that part?
I would say the best part of the run up to the wedding were all the celebrations with my bridesmaids etc, we used any excuse to celebrate during the year leading up to the wedding! We even spent the day at the venue having lunch at Gather to get us excited!Ā
Our suppliers were all wonderful, especially Vicky at GGās Yard. Everyone was fantastic which made wedding planning as stress free as possible.

Your big day finally arrived and it looks amazing. What were your favourite moments?
Being piped down the aisle with my mum was incredibly special. We also loved going up the hills to get our photos. One of our favourite memories was having our photos taken up the hills looking out at sea. Ā The views were out of this world and Cameron at Hemera Visuals captured it beautifully.

We loved how personal our humanist ceremony was and it was extra special because Lindsey has known me all my life.
We were most excited about the band as we both love music! Our band was called The True Loves and they were amazing. The dance floor was always busy and people raved about them for ages. The food after the dancing was also amazing and another thing our guests talked about for a long time after the wedding.

Any top tips?
We stayed an extra night at our wedding venue to soak it all in. Well worth it! Enjoy every minute of the planning and lead up to the wedding, itās done in a flash!
